To register to sit the official Cambridge exam, you must register through your nearest Cambridge Centre. Alternatively, for an additional, Indolearn can get in touch with your nearest Centre for you.
Once you have registered for your exam, you will receive an email with your exam timetable. You will receive this email approximately three weeks before the exam date. In your timetable you will find the place and time, the different exam parts, the date Cambridge releases your results online, and the access codes you will need to access your results. Having received your timetable, you should confirm receipt of it by contacting your nearest Cambridge Exam Centre, indicating your name and the candidate number that you have been assigned.
Your timetable will be emailed to you from cambridgeesolonline@cambridgeesol.org and may be put into your spam folder. It is therefore advisable to check your Spam folder if you have not received the information.
The speaking exam does not have to coincidence with the written exam date.
In the timetable that you receive about your exam it is specified that you will not need to bring any materials with you (pens, books, etc.). You only need to bring some form of identification, such as your passport, DNI or driving license.
The exam dates are set by Cambridge University and therefore cannot be changed.
The cost of registration only allows you to sit the exam once. If the candidate decides to not sit the exam after registration has been formalised, the candidate will not be able to sit the exam at a later date. Similarly, once the registration fee has been paid, there are no refunds.
No. The final result of the exam is an average mark of all the points scored in each part. In both the C1 and C2 exam, you need to achieve 70% in order to achieve the certificate.
When you received your exam timetable you will have received access codes that will allow you to find the results online. For this reason you should not lose your timetable. The results will be available approximately four weeks after sitting the exam
The certificates arrive at your Cambridge Exam Centre approximately two months after results are released. You will receive an email to let you know that you have three months to collect the certificates from your Cambridge Exam Centre. In order to do this you will need to bring your identification, such as a passport, DNI or driving license, as well as your registration and candidate number.
No, these certificates have life-long validity. However, every institution has the right to decide whether they accept a certificate based on how long it has been since certification.
The certificate cannot be duplicated but it is possible to request an exam "Results Certificate" from the University of Cambridge. This holds the same validity as the original certificate. In order to do this, you should contact the exam centre where you sat the exam.
